American International College (AIC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Athletic Trainer to lead and transform our athletic training program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for revitalizing and developing the athletic training room, ensuring the highest standards of care for our student-athletes, fostering a culture of health, safety, and excellence within the athletics department, and promoting a positive work-life balance for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the athletic training room, including the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. Supervise and mentor assistant athletic trainers, interns, and student workers. Collaborate with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to design and execute comprehensive injury prevention programs. Ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations regarding athlete health and safety. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all student-athletes. Provide education and training to student-athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness. Manage the budget for the athletic training department, including procurement of supplies and equipment. Foster a supportive work environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance for all staff. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the athletic training facilities and equipment. Stay current with advancements in sports medicine and integrate new techniques and technologies into the program. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Degree(s): Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related discipline. Three to five years of athletic training experience.
Required Training/Cert: Massachusetts Athletic Training License or ability to obtain one within two months of hire. NATA board certification. Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
Required Licensure(s): Valid and insurable driver's license by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in related discipline.
Three to five years of athletic training experience at the collegiate level.

In addition, the College sponsors rugby for both men and women; the men currently compete in the Liberty Conference while the women compete in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Conference.
