The NCAA Athletics Certification Officer is responsible for obtaining, evaluating, and documenting the academic credentials in accordance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Conference eligibility rules for approximately 400+ student-athletes. This individual is required to acquire a complete knowledge of NCAA academic regulations and specifically NCAA Bylaw 14. This position is also responsible for providing official certification of eligibility documentation to the Department of Athletics. This position does not represent the University in making policy and procedures regarding NCAA eligibility, however, this individual is responsible for communicating those policies and procedures to the various stakeholders in the certification process.
