Position purpose: The director of athletics, recreation, and wellness position exists to serve the campus community by providing vision, leadership, and direction for a competitive intercollegiate athletics program that advances the university’s mission and vision. The director is responsible for the operation and accountability of the athletics department, which includes leadership, management, supervision, fundraising, and university-wide involvement by promoting the student-athlete experience, advocating for students’ academic success, enhancing competitive opportunities for student-athletes and coaches, and hiring and retaining quality staff and coaches.
