As a member of a progressive Gossett Student-Athlete Center (GSAC) Academic Services Unit, the Learning Specialist will manage and support a caseload of at-risk student-athletes, specialize in working with students from a variety of sports. This individual will be responsible for conducting one-on-one academic meetings with a caseload of students, teach learning strategies and address academic needs. Specific duties will also include but are not limited to active involvement in the Learning Services Working Group, development of creative ideas to best support at-risk student-athletes, and when necessary, acting as a liaison to faculty, administrators, and coaches regarding student-athlete academic matters.
