The University of Jamestown men’s basketball team currently competes in the NAIA as part of the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Next season the University of Jamestown will be part of the NAIA competing in the North Star Athletic Association, with the hopes of transitioning to NCAA Division II and competing in the North Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Competition in NCAA Division II and the NSIC would start in the fall of 2025. The University of Jamestown has received an invitation from the NSIC and has submitted the application to the NCAA and are awaiting final approval.
