Black Hills State University is accepting applications for the position of Director of Athletic Development & Revenue Generation for the University Advancement department of Black Hills State University. BHSU is a member of NCAA DII and the RMAC.
•Responsibilities include planning and coordinating all fundraising activities and events as it applies to Athletic Development in coordination with the Yellow Jacket Foundation, Yellow Jacket Club, Vice President of University Advancement and the Director of Athletics.
•Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance athletic development and revenue generation efforts.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate partners to secure financial support.
•Collaborate with the athletics department to identify funding needs and priorities. •Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
•Monitor and assess the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
•Identify and pursue new revenue-generating opportunities.
•Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership regarding fundraising and revenue-generation progress.
•Manage a team of fundraising volunteers, providing guidance and support.
•Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in athletic development and revenue generation.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Proven experience in athletic development, fundraising, or revenue generation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and partners.
Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Knowledge of sports industry trends and fundraising techniques.
