Overview: Oversee the video operations for marketing, social media, media relations, and game day operations within the athletic department. Responsible for compliance will all College and NCAA policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
Utilize HD camera equipment, New Tek SD and HD TriCaster, and LiveText, and AJT Systems LiveBook to record and stream sporting events to FloSports.com, as well as CollegeSportsLive for a digital stream. Coordinate equipment locations, setup, and breakdown before and after events. Create recordings in multiple formats to be used for various Athletic department needs. Oversee production of video board shows for certain sports. Control multi-camera operations and incorporate other videos and promotions during media timeouts. Collaborate with sports marketing staff to develop video ideas. Operate Cinematic cameras, lights, and sound equipment to film video content for sports marketing purposes. Edit video content using primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, in addition to Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop to enhance or add to video. Create and distribute DVD’s using Encore or iDVD. Routinely share video content on social media sites. Distribute and share videos among outside organizations, such as: Big East, Hockey East, Cox, NESN, Fields of Vision, Kwolity Productions etc. Create commercials, including building a narrative around the footage. Write, edit, and record voiceovers. Attend, film, edit, and produce video content of donor events and fundraising initiatives. Coordinate with coaches and sports information contacts to develop content for Friars.com, social media, and digital/television broadcasts, such as video bios and weekly stories. Film video content using Cinematic cameras, lights, and sound equipment. Create postgame recaps, highlights, a cinematic highlight reel, and postgame press conference for certain sports, including Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Hockey. Host a weekly, magazine-style online show. Livestream specific special events to Friars.com. Must staff and oversee those directly involved in the production, particularly those operating HD video equipment and graphics computer. Film special events that are not streamed online. Maintain video equipment and software for all video operations and train staff as needed. Assist coaching staff on campus with video needs.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum of three years’ of experience in video production and advanced media experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Strong knowledge of and demonstrated interest in video production and graphic design.
Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
Strategic, innovative and creative thinking, as well as a self-starter.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadline.
Knowledge of video cameras and supporting video equipment.
Proficiency of video editing and design software required, including but not limited to
Adobe Premiere Pro, adobe After Effects, Encore, Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign, Flash Media Encoder, TriCaster, BlackMagic Media Express, IMovie.
