This position will serve as the primary communications and public relations contact for Georgia Tech volleyball and softball programs:
Act as a liaison between programs/coaches/student-athletes and media
Act as programs' communications liaison to the ACC and NCAA
Oversee and implement programs' social media strategies (in conjunction with creative & digital strategy staff)
Maintain programs' presence on official website of Georgia Tech athletics (ramblinwreck.com)
Write press releases to promote programs and recap events
Write and maintain coach and student-athlete biographies
Maintain team statistics and records
Schedule photo shoots and photographers for live events; maintain programs' photo archives
Nominate and promote coaches and student-athletes for awards
Act as media liaison for home events

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience Two to four years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS This job requires skills in writing and communication, creativity and ability to incorporate a variety of resources and tools to develop marketing materials. Requires ability to understand complex and/or highly technical ideas and programs and communicate them in lay terms. Also required are organizational and communications skills as well as use of office and specialized computer applications. Ability to work various nights and weekends, and some holidays.
