Nebraska Athletics is seeking a Head Coach for our Women’s Tennis program. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Responsibilities will include: 1.Overall accountability and responsibility for the organization, management, and coaching of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Women’s Tennis program. 2.Establish strategies and goals for Nebraska Athletics Women’s Tennis on a short and long-term basis. 3.Proven commitment to student-athlete academic achievement and total person development. 4.Facilitate all support services essential to student-athlete experience and development. 5.Maintain records in the area of recruiting, scheduling, inventories, and finances. 6.Recruit capable student-athletes on national and international levels. 7.Evaluation of prospective student-athletes and their abilities. 8.Create daily practice plans, and lead team and individual practices. 9.Responsible for scheduling in fall and spring. 10.Coordination of travel to and from competitions. 11.Create and adhere to an approved annual budget. 12.Public relations and promotion of the program. 13.Supervision of Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach. 14.Perform administrative duties as necessary. 15.Conduct the program within NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. 16.Attend monthly Compliance meetings. 17.Serve on conference committees.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to coach techniques and strategies of sport to Division I caliber student-athletes; demonstrate the ability to recruit national-level student athletes; and be knowledgeable about and ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
