James Madison University, a Division I Member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is seeking an Assistant Coach/Technical Director of Field Hockey. This position is a full-time, 12-month position with a full comprehensive benefits package. The anticipated start date is upon first availability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in all aspects of the program, including duties assigned by the Head Coach/Athletic Department.
• The job includes, but is not limited to, daily team operations, assessment and recruiting, including internationals, team and event management, individual development, video analysis, scouting, game prep and alumni engagement.
Required Qualifications:
• Passion for the game of field hockey
• At least 2 years of coaching experience at the college level or club level.
• Positive, productive, good energy and hard working.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of high-performance culture
• Have worked with GPS or equivalent system
• Understanding of coding, TeamXTream, Sportscode, High performance knowledge of the game
• Desired experience in use of GPS system, or similar sports science knowledge, TeamXStream, Sportscode, Pregame film development.
• Desired experience and proficiency in technical and tactical breakdown of the game of Field Hockey.
• Must Have a Passion for the game and for coaching the game
