Baylor University's Department of Athletics is seeking a high performing, high capacity individual to serve as the Director of Fan Engagement who will support the mission of the university by Overseeing a team, act as liaison to the pep band and student fan groups, act as a brand ambassador aligning the use of Baylor Brand Guidelines with all external-facing basketball marketing efforts, and other program duties.
A Bachelor's degree, and three years of work experience, and a Christian faith are required. A Master's degree, five years of work experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Develop comprehensive marketing and promotions campaigns for select sports with an emphasis on increasing student engagement and fan attendance.
Oversee a team of three full-time employees in Fan Engagement
Execute comprehensive timelines on an annual basis. Oversee and coordinate design, printing and distribution of all printed collateral materials and website graphics. Work both internal within athletics and external with University Marketing & Communications.
Plan on-campus and off-campus promotional activities and generating marketing collateral to increase the visibility of Baylor's athletic programs with students, faculty/staff, fans and the general public.
Activate in game promotions by working with Baylor Bears Sports Properties.
Act as liaison to the pep band and student fan groups.
Manage various game functions to include writing PA script; coordinating halftime/in-game performances; developing interactive crowd promotions; preparing in-game audio; coordinating game day presentation with all parties and coordinate emcee of promotions at athletic events.
Coordinate the Cub Club
Assist Associate Athletic Director for Marketing Strategy & Fan Engagement with special projects and campaigns, email communications and other departmental priorities.
Act as a brand ambassador aligning the use of Baylor Brand Guidelines with all external-facing basketball marketing efforts.
Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.
Other program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or area head.
