Emporia State University is seeking a Director of Tennis for its men’s and women’s tennis programs. Our Division II intercollegiate athletic program is engaged in a tremendous transformation and all programs are very competitive within the traditionally strong Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).
The Director of Tennis is responsible for administering all aspects of the sport program with emphasis on coaching of the men’s tennis team and oversight of the women’s head coach and team. This includes: coaching, recruiting, match/tournament scheduling, student development, budget management, compliance with NCAA DII, and conference rules/regulations and community building.
The head coach is also responsible for participating as a member of the college community and with all collaborative departmental functions as needed.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s degree preferred
NCAA Division I and/or II head or assistant coaching experience
Collegiate sports playing experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, judgement and integrity
Strong computing skills including database manipulation, email and calendar savvy, technological teaching tools, video analysis and manipulation
Passion and ability for personal growth and learning
