The primary function of this position is to provide support for the overall operations of the Wellness & Athletic Division, game operations and intercollegiate athletics policies.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to work flexible hours and regular attendance at work are essential functions of this position. Always be prepared to do additional duties and work overtime as the need arises. This position requires the ability to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays. The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business may be required. Must possess a high level of organizational and communication skills and be highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a very busy and sometimes stressful environment. A master of office skills and a working knowledge of office equipment especially a computer, copy machine and fax machine. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher. Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system both electronic and hard files.
Salary depends on experience $31,661 ($16.24) – $35,801 ($18.35)
Job Duties Coordinate the overall game day operations for all home games for each sport. Perform and be responsible for the ticket sales and pass gate for home basketball games. Scheduling student assistant support for home basketball games and other special events. This includes working nights, holidays and weekends based on game schedules and special events. Support Athletic Trainer with processing medical paperwork and insurance claims for student athletes related to athletic accident and injuries Monitor an efficient flow of communication both internally and externally to the college Assist and monitor class registration, drop and add, fee payments and the discernment of books for student athletes Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system to include the following documentation: o Personnel and human resource materials, budgets, purchasing, revenue and expenditure documents, student athlete files which includes a scholarship benefits, payments for tuition, books, the disbursement of in-house meals and meal stipends, housing, student athlete class schedules, medical insurance, injury and claim information, athletic eligibility and a variety of college, state and federal reports. Provide support for student and staff travel expense and reimbursement processes, purchasing and other financial related processes. Assist the Athletic Director in assuring the department is operating in compliance with all college policies and procedures related to travel, purchasing and the receipt of goods and services. Provide support for the academic program including the employment and pay for part time faculty and staff who teach credit and non-credit courses offered by the department. Updating syllabi, brochures and other credit and non-credit course materials, developing and updating faculty schedule cards and credit and non-credit courses offered each semester. Perform office duties to include evaluating and scheduling the department’s needs for the use of college facilities to include classrooms, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities and other special purpose spaces Maintain an electronic calendar of appointments, meetings, activities and travel for the Athletic Director and coordinate electronic calendars for department staff. Perform routine office duties including answering phones, picking up and delivering mail. Preparing purchase requisitions, check requisitions, contracts, scholarships, letters and memorandums scan, copy and fax. Greet and assist students and guests who visit the department. Take minutes at staff meetings and other official department meetings. Employ, train, supervise and schedule student assistants and work study students. Assist in the overall operations of the Commodore Club.
High school diploma or GED required. Proficient in Microsoft suite.
