SALARY:
If Full-Time, Salary Schedule “D" - $44,780 - $87,562 (9 months), based on education and experience.
Additional summer employment may be available.
If Part-Time, Salary Schedule “L” - $14,500 - $15,600, based on education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
FULL-TIME DUTIES:
Instruct assigned academic classes.
Present appropriate and effective classroom and laboratory learning experiences to students in a classroom, lab, or distance-learning format, including computer delivery.
Assist in the planning for instruction: prepare course materials, objectives, syllabi, and curriculum design.
Coach, recruit, and train members of the softball team.
Must attend all ACCC Softball meetings.
Supervise and provide duties for Assistant Coaches and Team Managers, if applicable.
Organize and schedule practice sessions and games in accordance to Gadsden State CC, ACCC, and NJCAA deadlines for eligibility, stats, etc.
Monitor student-athlete academic progress throughout the year.
Oversee conduct and discipline of the softball program.
Responsible for fundraising in support of the softball program.
Must provide community service projects for the softball program.
Attend Gadsden State CC Professional Development and Athletic Orientation.
Follow medical procedures for injured athletes.
Conduct oneself in such a manner as to reflect a positive image for the softball team and Gadsden State CC, both on and off the playing field.
Serve as faculty advisor to an assigned group of students.
Serve as a faculty sponsor to student organizations as assigned.
Ensure that all learning environments (e.g., classroom, and/or lab facilities) are maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
Recruit students and develop strategies to assist them to course/program completion.
Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System and the College.
Perform other duties as assigned.

FULL-TIME QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate semester hours in an Academic Instructional Area (Business, Computer Science, Accounting, English, Social Science, Math, Chemistry, Physics) required.
Prior experience in coaching softball at the high school or collegiate level required.
Commitment to the teaching-learning process of the two-year community college and the open-door admissions process.
CPR/AED trained within first 90 days of employment.
PART-TIME QUALIFICATIONS:
