The Assistant Director for Student Development will oversee activities related to the Iowa Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, including application and selection processes, meetings, subcommittees, communication with coaches and staff regarding ISAAC goals, etc.; Collaborate with and maintain relationships with campus partners including University Student Government, University Student Organizations, Leadership, Service and Civic Engagement Office, etc. This position retains an athletic academic coordinator responsibility for several teams.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Student Support Services, Academic Advising, or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- One to three years of full-time work experience in athletics student services or campus Student Life capacity;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships;
- Experience working with the community and collegiate campus organizations;
- Experience organizing and facilitating large-scale outreach programs;
Desired qualifications:
- Three to five years of work experience in athletics student services or campus Student Life capacity;
- Master’s degree in Higher Education & Student Affairs, Counseling, Psychology, Sports & Recreation Management, or other relevant programs;
- Experience working with sexual assault and violence prevention, bystander awareness, and mental health and well-being programs and committees;
- Student-athlete advising experience;
- Experience working with community engagement and volunteer tracking systems, such as HelperHelper, SWIPE technology, Team Works, etc.;
- Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA Student-Athlete Development programs;
