Maintains all medical records and injury reports on SA. Administers treatment and rehab programs under the supervision of DSM, senior asst. ATCs, and team physicians. 40% - Essential - Athletic Training: Applies protective devices and equipment. Coordinates with team physicians on treatment and rehab of Olympic sport SAs. Administers treatment and rehab programs for SA. Utilizes manual therapy techniques in treatment of SA. Identifies and refers SA to nutritional or mental health providers when concerns arise. Assists with coverage for practices and competitions for high risk sports and for Olympic sport events. Serves as on-call contact for all sports. Schedules outside medical care. Maintains and updates rehab protocols. Oversees the long term rehab of athletes. Attends athletic events as required.
35% - Essential - Program Management: Manages athletic training room operations in absence of senior asst. ATCs. Maintains inventory and supplies for athletic training room. Maintains medication logs and orthoscan logs. Represents Sports Medicine Dept. at university, conference, and national organizations. Responds to inquiries. Maintains relations with university alumni to encourage participation in alumni events and promote the athletic department. Undertakes special assignments and projects. Attends athletic events as requested.
15% - Essential - Facilities Coordination and Management: Manages daily and weekly cleaning of the Jervey Athletic Training Room and satellites as assigned. Assists with pool maintenance and upkeep.
10% - Essential - Records Keeping and Compliance: Maintains medical records and injury reports on SA. Ensures compliance with OSHA guidelines.
5% - Essential - Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to assisting Team Physicians with management of sports medicine programming.
