Summary: Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director for Compliance and the Assistant AD for Student Athlete Services, the Coordinator of Compliance and Student Athlete Services is responsible for monitoring and establishing eligibility of student-athletes; organizing and maintaining all recruiting records; educating, interpreting, and overseeing compliance of NCAA and Southland Conference rules; and organizing educational programming for student-athletes, as well as other outside speakers and events throughout the year.
Job to be effective July 1
1.Responsible for monitoring NCAA Bylaws 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 and for developing compliance education and presenting to all athletics teams.
2.Provide accurate interpretation of NCAA rules to coaches and relevant staff on a timely basis, and investigate and report NCAA violations, when needed.
3.Analyze NCAA and Southland Conference rules and regulations governing member institutions as well as University institutional policies, develop specific procedures, and guide the implementation of these to ensure University compliance.
4.Assist in internal auditing in conjunction with the Southland Conference, McNeese Athletics compliance responsibilities and systems.
5.Develop and supervise systems/forms to monitor and document institutional compliance.
6.Maintain and manage FrontRush Compliance Software, Compliance Assistant, and INFLCR.
7.Continue to grow and adapt a compliance policies and procedures manual.
8.Direct and oversee ongoing programs and activities of the compliance office and subordinate functional units through proper management, planning, controlling, coordinating, negotiating, counseling, advising others, and resolving problems.
9.Reports any potential NCAA violations to the Director/Deputy and assists with any investigations along with the FAR.
10.Ensure all assigned tasks for compliance are complete and accurate with University, Southland Conference, and NCAA rules.
11.Train and provide continuing compliance education to staff, coaches, and student-athletes on compliance office policies and procedures.
12.Communication with University about issues regarding financial aid, scholarships, and other miscellaneous issues that arise on a case by case basis.
13.May be required to work evenings and/or weekends for assistance with compliance related gameday activities
