With the recent addition of Women’ Rugby, Women’s Wrestling and Men’s Wrestling FSU now boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women).
Responsibilities: The head women’s wrestling coach position administers all aspects of the women’s wrestling program. The head coach position will manage and oversee the daily operations of the women’s wrestling program including practice, game-day activities, recruiting, budget management, manage grant & aid, academic monitoring and mentoring of student-athletes. The head coach will be expected to meet minimum roster goals through effective recruitment and retention strategies. These student-athletes are expected to be successful in the classroom, socially responsible, and competitive within the Mountain East Conference and NCAA Division II. Conduct assigned duties in accordance with all University System of Maryland, Frostburg State University, NCAA, and Conference Affiliate policies and procedures. Other work- related duties as assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to overall departmental philosophy and collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 1-3 years of coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Proven ability to recruit student-athletes.
Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
