Summary: Supports the strategic fundraising efforts of the University of New Mexico athletics department and the Lobo Club by assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of fundraising programs targeting donors. Primarily responsibilities will include but not limited to donor stewardship and fundraising efforts housed within the Lobo Club including the Lobo Scholarship Fund, Gift-In-Kind Program, and Special Events. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with the planning, development and implementation of fundraising projects and programs designed to increase the visibility of the department and enhance giving to the University. Primarily supports the UNM Lobo Club through Annual Giving by assisting with donor stewardship, collaboration with the UNM Ticket Office, and fundraising efforts targeted toward the Lobo Scholarship Fund, Gift-In-Kind Program, and Special Events (i.e. Cherry & Silver Gala, Golf Tournament). Assists with gameday stewardship and operations. Perform necessary administrative tasks in event follow up and data analysis. Collect membership and event lists and ensure they are accurately recorded in the main database. Under supervision, researches, writes, edits, or oversees the preparation of persuasive, accurate, and grammatically and syntactically correct correspondence and other development-related communication materials as required. Conducts and/or reviews research to identify prospects and assist with the creation of strategies to match prospects’ interests to the priorities of the unit and the University. Interacts with faculty, staff, development colleagues, volunteers, and external constituents to ensure effective coordination of programs, projects, and activities. Makes effective use of the University’s prospect management database and other institutional resources to ensure appropriate management of donors, prospect, alumni, and volunteers in coordination with University objectives. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the UNM Foundation and University development colleagues to maximize the unit’s total gift revenue. Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
