Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Hiring range is $39,086 - $44,949/year depending on qualifications and experience. Position tops at $50,812.

Other Duties/ Experience/ Skills:
The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting in coaching student athletes at team practices, games, and other events. Assist and or run the ID camps throughout the year- all aspects. Must be self-motivated and team oriented. Ability to multitask and work well as part of a team. Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe In Design, Google Docs and soccer specific video analysis software (currently Insat) Must be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends. Local recruiting: Responsible for recruiting in pacific northwest, primarily Washington State. Develop a strong working relationship with local club and high school teams. International recruiting: responsible for identifying potential international recruits, developing relationships with recruiting services and understanding requirements for NCAA eligibility and WWU admittance for an international student athlete. Assist in planning, coordination and execution of all approved Alumni and fundraising activities. Working with our compliance administrator, assist in monitoring the academic performance of student athletes. Working with our equipment manager, assisting with the gear order, monitoring the condition of the equipment and replacement/ repairs of equipment if necessary. Maintain a good working relationship with Director of Communications regarding media relations, public relations, promotion, and social media as it pertains to the men’s soccer team. Be up to date with all forms of NCAA compliance. Other duties as assigned by head coach or his designee This is a full-time, 10-month position.
Experience coaching college, professional, or elite youth soccer
Ability to effectively coach student-athletes of diverse backgrounds and identities
First Aid and CPR certification or commitment to obtaining certification within 3 months of employment
Commitment to holistic development of student-athletes
Familiarity with pacific northwest soccer
Experience playing competitive soccer e.g.: elite youth, college, or professional soccer
Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe In Design, Google Docs, and soccer specific video analysis software (currently Insat)
Excellent professional and interpersonal communication skills
USSF National C license, NSCAA equivalent, UEFA equivalent or above.
3 years college coaching experience at the D1, D2, or D3 level
