Seton Hill University invites applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. The University is a member of the NCAA Division II and competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Seton Hill sponsors a total of 20 varsity NCAA teams 18 of which compete in the PSAC (Men’s Lacrosse competes in the GMAC and Equestrian in the IHSA). During 2021-22, Seton Hill had 5 teams qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships while achieving the highest grade point average in the PSAC.
Job Description:
Oversees the administration and operation of a comprehensive compliance program for 20 NCAA DII varsity sports and approximately 600 student-athletes.
Ensures NCAA Division II compliance and institutional control by the coaches, athletics staff and the university.
Work collaboratively with Registrar and FAR, particularly on initial and continuing eligibility.
Monitors and updates Institutional Request Lists, activates/deactivates PSA's, manages webs status reports as necessary.
Monitors and confirms prior seasons of competition.
Checks countable athletically related activities, phone logs, official and unofficial visits, contacts, and evaluations for validity.
Handles all transfer requests and required paperwork.
Advises on initial academic and amateurism issues, communication with high schools, student-athletes, parents/guardians, and coaches as necessary.
Produces medical and NCAA related waiver requests.
Monitors initial and continuing eligibility. Works with NCAA Eligibility Center and NCAA staff on a routine basis.
Communicates and uses discretion in providing NCAA interpretations and education.
Education includes not only the production of a monthly newsletter, but internal compliance workshops to continue to expand the department's knowledge and awareness of compliance.
Answers interpretative questions from administration and coaching staff.
Communicates with PSAC, GMAC and NCAA staff with regards to interpretations.
Completes and generates NLI's and degree awards/benefit information for student-athletes.
Completes NCAA reports and reports compliance violations to the PSAC, GMAC and NCAA.
Will serve as a sport administrator for select varsity programs
Other administrative duties and assignments determined by the Executive Director of Athletics.

Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) 3-5 years experience working at an NCAA DI or DII institution in compliance.
