The LSU Athletic Department is a member of the Southeastern Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association and must adhere to the rules and regulations of both these organizations as well as maintaining the integrity of the State of Louisiana and Louisiana State University. The Athletic Department operates with an annual budget in excess of $175 million. The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the ticketing operations for LSU Athletics and manages all aspects of ticket operations to assigned sports.
70% Manage all aspects of ticket operations for women’s basketball and volleyball events hosted in LSU athletic facilities, including but not limited to: set up of renewal applications, new season sales, individual game sales, postseason distribution and game day box office operations; Assists with day-to-day ticket office operations.
15% Oversee student tickets for football. Including, but not limited to: student ticket purchasing, distributing away game tickets and allocating postseason tickets. Act as liaison for the Athletic Ticket Office with the Tiger Card Office, Student Advocacy and Accountability, and the Office of the University Registrar; Oversee the operations of the student entry gate during home football games.
5% Review customer or company ticket transfer and merging requests to assure compliance with the LSU Board of Supervisors Ticket Policy, and communicate with customers regarding compliance requirements, and approval or denial of request explaining policy and procedure.
5% Investigate grievances and complaints from phone calls, walk ups, email and mail. Independently makes judgements to resolve complaints for conflicts and involves the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations only on extremely complex issues.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its department; Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in ticket office operations or other athletic administration capacity.
Experience with Paciolan ticketing system; Ticket office experience at an NCAA FBS university.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Some travel required.
