The United States Naval Academy Athletic Association seeks and immediate full time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position will report to Associate Athletic Director for Sports Performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Experience with training a wide variety of sports; such as, Soccer, Track & Field etc.
•Design and implement a comprehensive strength and conditioning program as related to injury prevention and performance enhancement (strength development, speed development, power development, movement capacity development, etc.) for assigned sport programs
•Lead and assist in day-to-day operations of the training facilities
•Work closely with sport coaches to monitor athlete performance •Provide effective communication (written & oral) to student athlete, coaches, sports administration, staff, etc.
•Assist coaches in recruiting
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships with strength staff and other athletic department personnel
•Collaborate with sports medicine and athletic trainers regarding the rehabilitation process and return to play protocol of injured student athletes
•Enforce our standards, policies, and mission of the United States Naval Academy and the Athletic Association
•Maintain all records concerning the student-athletes
•Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities
•Other related duties, as assigned
•Bachelor degree Required
•Master degree Preferred
•Minimum of two years of full-time experience in strength and conditioning at the intercollegiate level or equivalent
•Certification by either of the two NCAA recognized strength and conditioning certification organizations: NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC. (current & valid)
•Preferred Certification is by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).
•Current First Aid
•Current CPR Certification
