The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Michigan State University is looking for a candidate to fill an Assistant to the Head Coach/Boat Person position for the Women's Rowing Program. We are looking for candidates with mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn about rowing equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Oversee operation of rowing facilities
Oversee the purchase of capital equipment
Maintain and repair all rowing related equipment
Transport equipment to rowing events
Set-up and adhere to a budget for maintenance of rowing facilities and equipment
Oversee operation of the boathouse, erg room and rowing tanks
Other duties as assigned
Strong mechanical sense
Strong interpersonal skills
Valid drivers license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Commitment to a responsibility for adhering to all the policies, rules, and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA
