The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach leads and is responsible for all aspects of EOU’s lacrosse program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recruitment, retention, and graduating of student-athletes; academic supervision, fundraising for both the lacrosse program and the athletic department, budget management, supervising assistant coaches, developing and managing a competitive schedule, and organizing and conducting all practices.

Intercollegiate athletics are integral to the overall educational experience at EOU. The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach will help fulfill the department’s mission, goals, and objectives. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Coaching, Athletic Administration, Exercise Science, Business, Education, Communications, or closely related field.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated previous success in building a success program at the collegiate, or varsity high school level.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• Mental Health First Aid Training.
• Current and valid Driver’s License.
• NAIA Champions of Character Coaching Course Completed.
• Must adhere to all rules and regulations of NAIA, and EOU. Expected to implement the NAIA Champions of Character Program within the lacrosse program.
• Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Eastern Oregon University will not sponsor applicants for employment visas.

   

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Coaching, Athletic Administration, Exercise Science, Business, Education, Communications, or closely related field.
• Knowledge of the Cascade Conference, NAIA, and institutional rules and regulations.
• Strong character and values.
• Demonstrate experience in recruiting athletes at the collegiate level
