• Serve as the facility operations and maintenance point of contact for Rynearson Stadium, Oestrike Stadium, Scicluna Field, St. Joe’s Sports Dome and Bowen Fieldhouse.
• Submit and manage work orders with Physical Plant for all athletic facilities.
• Direct and coordinate all aspects of game operations for all varsity athletics events.
• Develop current and long-range plans to ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of athletic facilities.
• Help develop a comprehensive facilities master plan for the division of athletics.
• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Manage operation of all electronic media tables, scoreboards, communication systems and clocks in all athletic facilities.
• Hire, train and supervise staff and students on all aspects of game operations and facility management.
• Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations and operational procedures.
• Perform related departmental duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sports management or related field is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years directly-related experience involving athletic facilities, operations, athletic game management, and athletic grounds maintenance is required.
• Working knowledge of NCAA and MAC rules and regulations as related to facilities and events management is required.
• Knowledge of appropriate facilities and event set-up for basketball, volleyball and football is required.
• Knowledge and ability to set-up, test and perform basic troubleshooting of electronic equipment as it relates to athletic game operations including but not limited to scoreboards, communication devices, and electronic media tables is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of University and NCAA rules and regulations is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends.
• Ability to do heavy lifting is necessary.
