With new legislation on name, image, and likeness, the student-athlete development unit is essential in providing education for student-athletes to adapt to and benefit from the new legislation. In addition to current student-athlete development programming under the Cougar Pursuit program, the Director of Student-Athlete Innovation is focused on developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for personal branding, entrepreneurship, and name, image, and likeness education. Through educational workshops, in class lectures, special events, and storytelling, the role will contribute to the personal growth of WSU student-athletes.
