PRIMARY PURPOSE/SCOPE Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, the primary purpose of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach is to manage the women’s basketball program and provide direction to the athletes included within the program, while fostering and maintaining fiscal responsibility. PRIMARY DUTIES The primary duties of the Head Women’s basketball Coach consist of instructing athletes in the fundamentals and the performance of the sport of women’s basketball as well as teaching, tutoring, mentoring and coaching student athletes. In addition, as leaders of this sport, the coach exercises discretion and judgment in decisions affecting the student athletes and the employees of their department.
