Job DescriptionServes as the overall administrator in the development and monitoring of all systems designed to ensure the University is in compliance with NCAA, Southwestern Athletic Conference and University rules. In addition, coordinates the academic services for the student-athletes for 18 intercollegiate sports.
Responsibilities:- Serves as the department liaison for Athletic Compliance & Academic Advising; provides leadership and oversight with Development, Comprehensive Compliance program, including education programs for the student Athletes, mentorship program for the student athletes; performs daily Compliance operations of the athletic department to ensure strict adherence with the University, Southwestern Athletic Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations for amateurism, eligibility, financial aid, awards and benefits, playing and practice seasons for 18 intercollegiate sports.-Performs day to day operations of the Compliance Office by assisting in implementing rules and educations.
- Develops interpretation procedures and update compliance procedures to meet NCAA regulations; develops audit compliance system to determine necessary checks and balances; provides legislative and interpretative updates; creates and distributes educational materials; prepares required reports for NCAA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:- Bachelors degree.
- Two years of experience in athletic administration.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of NCAA eligibility rules and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications: - Five or more years of experience in athletics administration.
