This position is responsible for assisting the head coach in coaching the softball program while fostering and encouraging the goals of the student-athletes. Assume duties for hitting and defensive instruction, for game preparation and player improvements as well as other duties assigned by the head coach. Aid in on and off campus scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, to include evaluating their performance and provide leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies. This also includes participation in organization of summer camps, scouting opponents, event management, coordinating team travel, compliance with NCAA, GSC and institutional rules and a commitment to academic development of student-athletes.
