The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is seeking qualified applicants for their Head Women’s Swimming Coach position. The Nanooks sponsor ten sports; NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey, four men’s and women’s National Championship sports (non-divisional), and five men’s and women’s Division II sports. The Head Women’s Swimming Coach oversees and manages the NCAA, conference and institutional athletics compliance programs for all teams, departments, and other constituents of the University. Position is also responsible for creating and managing the development of a successful women’s swimming program including rules education for student-athletes and coaching staff. The Head Women’s Swimming Coach reports to the Athletics Director and works in support of the goals and operations of the Women’s Swimming Program and Department of Athletics. This position requires expert knowledge of the sport of swimming, NCAA rules, and the collegiate academic environment to ensure that the UAF Women’s Swim Team complies with NCAA rules and delivers necessary support services to student-athletes. This position involves supervision of some full and part-time/student staff and and other duties pertaining to the operational needs of the women’s swim program and athletics department.
