The Graduate Assistant for Softball is responsible for assisting with the overall management of the Softball program
• The primary responsibility of the Graduate Assistant is to provide full support of the program to which the individual is assigned and assisting with other day-to-day operations
• The Graduate Assistant for Softball will be required to uphold compliance with all Institute policies
• Will report directly to the Head Softball Coach
• Assist the Head Coach in preparing workouts/practices/recruiting
• Assist players in player development
• Position may require working with sports camps as needed
• Work with food orders and team equipment
• Conduct research and team scouting as assigned
• It can be expected the individual will work at times other than, or in addition to, normal business hours and days, including attendance at numerous evening and weekend athletic events
• As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the HCAC (Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) should be maintained, reviewed, and practiced ensuring compliance relative to those applicable duties
• Always maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Must have integrity and a commitment to the students’ athletic/academic excellence
