Head Men's Lacrosse Coach The Athletics Office at Whittier College seeks a Head Coach. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Whittier College is responsible for managing and leading all aspects of a nationally competitive Division III lacrosse program while adhering to the university mission, recruiting quality student-athletes and retaining those student-athletes, having academically successful student-athletes, and managing all aspects of a collegiate lacrosse program.
Hours: May vary Exempt Status: Exempt Full Time/Part Time status: Full Time Salary Range: $53,000-$55,000; Salary will commensurate with experience, skills, and knowledge.

Location/Department: Whittier College (Main Campus)/Athletics
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work within the College mission to provide a competitive and positive collegiate athletic experience for student-athletes. • Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes within NCAA and university guidelines. • Build, develop, and maintain regular contact and relationships with the program's alumni which include conducting alumni events. • Take a major Fundraising role for the program in conjunction with the College and department. • Monitor student-athletes academic progress and study hall programs, ensuring satisfactory progress towards graduation. • Coordinate community service efforts for the lacrosse program. • All necessary administrative responsibilities for the program: budget management, coordinate and supervise assistant coach and supervise home athletics contests. • Other related duties related to the work described herein or assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Specifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree and at least three years of coaching collegiate lacrosse. Excellent administrative, organizational, recruiting, and fundraising skills also required. The successful candidate will be expected to understand and comply with applicable laws, college policies, and NCAA regulations. A record of demonstrated trustworthiness, honesty, and reliability are essential to all head coaching positions at the College. The successful candidate is expected to develop a climate of trust, integrity, and open communication with colleagues and students.
