Duties include, but are not limited to: the recruitment and retention of student-athletes; coaching in both team and individual settings; coaching and student-athlete management during competitions; travel logistics; home meet management; assistance with team non-competition events such as community service, fundraising, and alumnae events; and assist the head coach in overseeing a program that abides by all NCAA, NEWMAC, and Mount Holyoke College rules and regulations.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record. Previous collegiate experience whether it be coaching or playing, and/or success as a head coach at the high school level is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and a commitment to, and understanding and appreciation of, NCAA Division III athletics and wellness at a private liberal arts college.

Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years coaching experience at the collegiate level. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated an ability to recruit and yield high-academic student-athletes. The candidate should have a desire to pursue a career in coaching, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, computer/media skills, and knowledge of NCAA rules. The candidate must have a flexible schedule and possess the ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced, and constantly evolving setting.
