The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach. This is a contract, full-time position with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities and duties are as follows: assist the Head Coach of Women’s Rowing with all phases of the Women’s Rowing program, which includes the coaching and development of athletes, and may include the recruitment of on-campus and off-campus athletes, equipment procurement and repair, travel arrangements, interaction with support services, marketing, fundraising/promotional activities, trailer driving, and additional duties to be assigned by the Women’s Rowing Head Coach.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Strong experience training/communicating with rowing athletes and effectively collaborating with staff/peers
Comprehension of the demands placed on Division I student-athletes, both in the classroom and in the competitive arena, and a strong willingness to help them succeed in both.
Commitment to compliance with the rules and regulations of UCLA, the PAC-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
3-5 Years of experience coaching Division I or high performance rowing athletes (or equivalent)
Strong background as a competitive rower
Strong experience with some or all of the duties described above
