The Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach (9 month FT) is responsible for assisting the Head Lacrosse Coach in all areas of running a highly successful NAIA lacrosse program. Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Athletic Department. Maintain the integrity of the athletic program through the knowledge and application of NAIA rules and regulations. Assist the Head men's lacrosse coach in all day-to-day operations of the program including, but not limited to the following tasks: Identification of potential student-athletes, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, and maintenance of recruitment files. Organization and coordination of daily practice plans. Game day preparations, including field set-up and break down, uniform and equipment preparation, game-plan preparation, warm-up activities, and game evaluation. Inventory management of uniforms and equipment, and input into purchasing decisions on new equipment. Video operations and analysis. Scouting of opponents. Monitoring and supervision of student-athletes, to include athletic activities, academic progress, eligibility concerns and disciplinary issues. Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers. Be active in department wide fundraising activities and related professional duties. Practice superior customer service. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned. Display respect and civility to all constituencies regardless of method of communication. Attend work timely and during the established hours of operation on a regular basis; work additional hours as business necessitates.
