Birmingham-Southern College has an opening for Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting the supervision and coordination of Birmingham-Southern College’s overall sports medicine program; to include injury prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries, short and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education, and counseling of student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will also assist in athletic related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Team Physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel. The Athletic Trainer will also have the option to work summer camps. This is a full-time, eleven-month position. Birmingham-Southern College is a member of the Southern Athletic Association and a member of the NCAA at the Division III level.

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Athletic Training, Master's Degree preferred. Have passed the BOC AND be eligible or have Alabama State Licensure through the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers is required. Must also be CPR certified. A strong commitment to the Student-Athlete concept and a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required. Candidates must possess a current driver's license and be insurable. Motor Vehicle Reports will be reviewed on top candidates.
