General Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Assistant Rugby Coach are to conduct all aspects of the men’s and women’s rugby program within the philosophy and guidelines set forth by Alderson Broaddus University, the NCAA, and NIRA. The expectations of the assistant rugby coach include but are not limited to: commitment to the mission of Alderson Broaddus University, meeting the established recruiting goals of the athletic department, conducting practices and meetings, assisting with budget oversight, travel planning, fundraising, and completion of any duties assigned by the Head Rugby Coach.
1.)Meet the assigned recruiting goals for each year. 2.)Assistant in the development of the players. 3.)Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes within the ruby program. 4.)Help ensure eligibility of student athletes in the rugby program. 5.)Assist with the retention of a satisfactory number of recruited student athletes. 6.)Monitor the social behavior of student-athletes within the rugby program. 7.)Ability to exercise good judgment in problem resolution situations. 8.)Assist with rugby operations including equipment management, laundry, and video. 9.)Perform duties as assigned by the Head Rugby Coach. 10.)Participate in community and campus life opportunities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Previous college coaching experience.
Knowledge or experience in recruiting student-athletes.
