BENEFIT DETAILS
The UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. This position reports to the Athletics Director (AD) and will provide leadership to multiple external areas of the department including assisting the AD with strategic vision and planning and implementation. This position will provide leadership of licensing, branding, and external relations including sports information and video production oversight. Enhancing/expanding the brand within Northeast Wisconsin will be critical for the success of this position. Associate AD will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate sales partnerships and individual donors with a focus on increasing revenue production and will work closely with the Senior Associate AD for Revenue Enhancement and AD on proposals, building relationships and targeting opportunities within the region. Oversight of game operations including development/oversight of game scripts and management of flow on game-days including facilities/events liaison with other University staff.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
Develops, directs, and implements branding strategy for athletics department including oversight of sports information and video production. Game contracts / officials Corporate Sales, development, and Revenue Production Athletics/events facilities liaison Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees including oversight of staff and coaches. Game operations oversight including game scripts and game flow. Conditions Of Appointment Some travel is required for necessary meetings, workshops, conferences, sporting events etc. A high amount of evening and weekend work is expected and will be assigned by supervisor as needed.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years’ experience working in sales, development, marketing, or sports administration
- Adobe Creative Suite and/or Photo Shop experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree
- Facilities and game operations experience.
- Experience developing proposals and selling the University’s brand to a diverse population
