James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA is seeking a Director of On-Campus Recruiting, Football to work within a highly competitive program. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and manage all on-campus official and unofficial recruiting visits, including game day visits by prospective student-athletes
Coordinates recruiting correspondence with prospective student-athletes, high school coaches, junior college coaches and other appropriate entities/parties.
Assist with the admissions, onboarding process, move-in of signed prospective athletes and coordinate the collection and database management of transcripts for all possible prospective student athletes.
Cultivate, lead, and manage student workers for the recruiting department
Foster and maintain positive relationships and work collaboratively with University and Athletics staff, students, prospective student-athletes and their guests/families and all constituents and stakeholders.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of and adhere to all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
Maintain compliance logs related to prospective student-athlete unofficial & official visits.
Work with coaches to get admissions applications returned and NCAA Eligibility Center certification completed in a timely manner
Assist with other duties/projects as assigned/directed by the Head Coach, Senior Director, Football Operations, Director of Player Personnel, and Recruiting Coordinator
Strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of NCAA Division I FBS and/or FCS College Football Recruiting Rules & Regulations
NCAA Division I Football recruiting, coaching or Playing experience
One or two years of working in NCAA Division 1 FBS and/or FCS College Football Recruiting as a Graduate Assistant or Full-Time Role
