Kansas Athletics, Inc. is seeking a great collaborator, who loves hosting events, and has a passion for the sport of Track & Field/Cross-Country. The Meet Director will be responsible for planning and directing all cross country meets at Rim Rock Farm, indoor track and field meets at Anschutz Sports Pavilion, and outdoor track and field meets at Rock Chalk Park. This position will also serve as a liaison to various internal units such as Marketing, Facilities and Events, and the Williams Education Fund (Development). This position will serve as a liaison to multiple external units such as the Jayhawk Sports Properties and other key campus and community stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
• Minimum of three years of experience in marketing and/or athletics;
• Knowledge of track and field, marketing, and event management;
• Experience in organizing high profile track and field events with proven high levels of success.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under multiple, strict deadlines in a fast-paced office environment with the capacity to adapt quickly to major and minor changes in projects and outcomes;
• Ability to work well both independently and in collaboration with staff as a team member;
• Creative problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach to challenges and improvements;
• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed during peak seasons;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with athletic or entertainment organizations;
• Experience in fundraising, event planning, event management, or television production;
