The school seeks an outstanding educator for Head Girls Lacrosse Coach/PE Coach, whose duties comprise of:
• Physical Education Teaching: Five class responsibilities each trimester including coaching • Organize and teach skills, challenges, and games that promote physical activity among children in the Preschool, Lower School, and Middle School level. • Create a classroom that provides a welcoming, nurturing and stimulating environment appropriate to the developmental level of the students. • Assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans that follow the mapped curriculum for each grade level. • Evaluate students’ progress and achievement based on standards/benchmarks through formal and informal assessments at multiple points of the school year.
Coaching: Head Girls Lacrosse, coach second sport at the Middle School or Upper School Level • Encourage, train, and coach the student-athletes of the girls lacrosse program (Grades 9-12); • Work with admission office to identify and recruit prospective student-athletes to Greenhill; • Collaborate on internal (on campus) recruitment and retention of lacrosse players in the program; • Coordinate the development and promotion the girls lacrosse program (Grades 7-12) in conjunction with the mission of the school; • Collaborate with the Head of Athletics on hiring, retention, evaluation, and professional development of girls lacrosse coaching staff; • Schedule and organize practice sessions for Upper School girls lacrosse teams; • Schedule girls lacrosse games in conjunction with the Head of Athletics & Physical Education; • Coordinate girls lacrosse camp selection with families of players wishing to be more competitive • Work closely with the College Counseling office in the recruitment/placement of players in NCAA women’s lacrosse programs. • Represent Greenhill School and the girls’ lacrosse program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship. • Encourage, train, and coach the student-athletes of a Middle School (Grades 7-8) or Upper School program (Grades 9-12) in a second sport;

- Committed experience to teaching and coaching;
- Ability to lead the girls’ lacrosse program in Upper School (Grades 9-12) with support for the Middle School (Grades 7-8) and Hornet Sports Association (Prek-6).
- Ability to lead/coach a second sport in Middle (Grades 7-8) or Upper School (Grades 9-12)
- Competence in effective teaching techniques and content knowledge appropriate to the teaching and coaching position;
- Ability to plan effectively for instructions and maintains an environment for effective learning;
- Leaderships skills and the ability to motivate students;
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleague, students, and parents;
- Willingness to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth;
- Commitment to value teaching in a cooperative and problem-solving environment;
