Position Description
The Women’s Tennis program at California State University, Fullerton is a highly competitive program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference. The Head Coach reports directly to the Director of Athletic and they handle the following duties and responsibilities:

• Coach and administer a highly competitive women’s tennis program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference
• Recruit Division I quality student-athletes
• Know and abide by the academic goals of the University and follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Big West Conference
• Oversee and monitor team practices and student-athlete academic progress
• Work in conjunction with athletics administration regarding budget and scheduling of opponents
• Take an active role in marketing women’s tennis on campus and within the community through public appearances and promotional efforts
• Develop relationships within the community to assist with raising funds to support the program as needed

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and demonstrated successful coaching experience at the collegiate and/or professional level in a diverse setting
• A proven ability to promote inclusivity when recruiting highly skilled, division I, student-athletes and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, solid administrative abilities, and a strong commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athletes
• The ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally diverse range of students and to work harmoniously with students and colleagues
• Experience in managing a budget and formulating an intercollegiate women’s tennis schedule
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Knowledge of Data and Metrics programs for Tennis
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• NCAA Division I Tennis coaching experience
• Knowledge of various scouting and video editing software systems
