In partnership with the McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative, The Southland Conference, based in suburban north Dallas, and serving eight NCAA Division I member institutions in Texas and Louisiana, is seeking applicants and nominations for the position of Chief of Staff. The purpose of the McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative is to provide women and ethnic minorities an opportunity to launch their careers in intercollegiate athletics through practical experiences, while expanding their network and instilling the values of John McLendon: Integrity, Education, Leadership and Mentorship. The second year program is designed to create access and opportunity for meaningful employment experience for minority candidates, known as MLI Future Leaders.
