Essential Responsibilities: •Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the Department of Physical Education, Athletics & Recreation and University as well as the rules and regulations of the Middle Atlantic Conference and MAC Freedom, the NCAA, and other authorities that may legitimately influence the intercollegiate athletics program. •Direct the daily operation of the athletic equipment room for 23 NCAA Division III teams. •Oversee and manage all athletic team equipment storage. •Serve as primary department contact for all equipment vendors. •Maintain equipment inventory for all teams including uniforms, practice gear, athletic equipment, etc. •Hire and manage a team of FWS student-workers. •Manage purchase order system for team equipment. •Oversee team equipment budgets with each Head Coach in collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration. •Establish systems and procedures for uniform distribution, equipment collection and inventory forecasting and tracking. •Oversee departmental laundry service and manage laundry FWS students. •Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of laundry room and equipment. •Coordinate maintenance, repair and reconditioning of uniforms and equipment. •Perform all other duties as assigned.
Administrative Responsibilities: •Complete all required departmental and institutional training and certification programs and participate regularly in available professional development opportunities. •Responsible for representing the department on university-wide committees and at meetings as necessary.
Experience •One to two years of experience in an intercollegiate athletics setting is strongly preferred •Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED is required, but training will be provided as needed
Specific Skills: •Communicate effectively and professionally, including written, interpersonal, and public speaking •Must be willing to work early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays.
