SUMMARY: To provide an “unmatched” golf experience for all guests through exceptional customer service, detailed organization and development of golf instructional programs. Event coordination and pro shop support in operations, set- up, merchandising, staff training and daily reconciliation. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide exceptional customer service in golf operations • Organize, develop, supervise, and execute events • Oversee reservation system, starting, monitoring and pace of play awareness strategies and efforts • Supports City of Roswell Golf sustainability initiatives • Adheres to policies and procedures • Be available to public and guest questions, complaints, or input • Promote all club events and programs • Develop and manage an innovative tournament program, group outing and leagues that service all customer segments • Professional golf club repair and fitting services • Attend and lead golf operations meetings • Administer the Rules of Golf and educate staff. Promote and provide Rules of Golf to clinics to the membership • Maintain a profitable golf merchandising operation • Establish accurate record keeping policies and procedures • Develop, provide and oversee an enhanced golf instruction program for individuals and group setting • Recruit, hire, train, motivate and supervise all golf departments • Focus on programs for women, families, seniors and juniors • Utilize the resources of PGA programs such as Get Golf Ready, PGA Sports Academy and others • Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the golf shop operations and golf services • Assist in the development and preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf operations • Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification
Education, Training, and Experience: • High school diploma or GED equivalent; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. • Experience in supervising employees • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Knowledge Of: • City and Department policies and procedures. • City, State, and Federal codes and ordinances.
Skill In: • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. • Effective verbal and written communication.
