Assists with daily responsibilities within Athletic Compliance department. Coordinates all aspects of NCAA compliance legislations regarding student athletes. Supports the FIU's system-wide compliance program and is instrumental in promoting a culture of ethical behavior and helps to ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations
Coordinates all aspects of camp and clinic legislation.
Assists with rule interpretations.
Monitors and updates the interpretation log.
Coordinates initial eligibility for all incoming student athletes.
Tracks all potential transfers in and out of university.
Maintains the compliance assistant software.
Creates presentations for monthly all staff meetings.
Produces monthly compliance newsletters for department.
Monitors sports playing and practice seasons.
Analyzes and applies NCAA, Conference USA, and campus regulations in a consistent and uniform manner.
Works collaboratively with other compliance staff and appropriate offices to facilitate and promote the Athletics Compliance program.
Adheres to all State of Florida, university, Conference USA and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Compliance Coordinator, Intercollegiate Athletics. Report any NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance.
Performs other related duties as required or directed by supervisor. The omission of specific duties does not prelude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or a related field from an accredited institution. One (1) year of experience in a related field.
Knowledge of JumpForward system.
1 year of experience in compliance.
Experience working with a NCAA institution.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
$36,000 - $40,000
