Description of Duties:
To effectively coach, direct and administer all aspects of a successful Women’s Lacrosse program including:
• Successful recruitment, retention, and graduation of quality student-athletes; monitoring academic and social progress;
• Team and individual skill development, coaching intercollegiate contests and the administration of all team functions;
• Equipment and facility management, scheduling, monitoring team travel and staff supervision;
• Engagement in community service activities, alumni and college functions;
• Representation and promotion of SUNY Poly and the program to all relevant organizations;
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from college or University accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization and significant knowledge of and proven success in coaching and playing Lacrosse. Successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations, demonstrated outcomes of successful recruitment and retention of quality student athletes and excellent teaching, verbal, written and computer communication skills.
The position will require some driving. A valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and to work evening and weekend hours as required. Candidate will need to be able to communicate by phone or in person outside of normal working hours.
Position requires standing, bending and lifting (up to 20 lbs) will be necessary to the job about 50% of the time.
