Assistant Coach, Women’s Soccer George Mason University, a member of the A-10, is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach, Women’s Soccer within the Intercollegiate Athletics Department. Responsibilities: The Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer is responsible for carrying out coaching and administrative duties for soccer as directed by the Head Coach, including but not limited to assisting and leading training sessions, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, academic monitoring of student-athletes, and providing the necessary leadership for a positive, competitive environment for student-athletes. Required Qualifications: Advanced degree, or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree; One to three years of collegiate coaching experience; Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator’s license that meets all of GMU’s requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason’s Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/ The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver’s licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review. Preferred Qualifications: Background in Sports Science; College playing or professional playing experience; United States Soccer, United Soccer Coaches (USC), or comparable coaching license/certificate.
