Boise State Athletics seeks applicants for the position of Student-Athlete Development Coordinator within the BroncoLife program. The candidate in this position will focus on the personal transition of student-athletes from high school to college, to life after college. This position will create, oversee, evaluate, and expand opportunities within the BroncoLife program, which promotes and encourages student-athlete commitment to academics, athletics, personal development, career planning and service in the community.
Work with Assistant Athletic Director/Student-Athlete Development, academic advisors, coaches, SAAC, and support staff to create, oversee, evaluate and expand programs which promote and encourage student-athlete growth in academics, athletics, personal development, career planning and service in the community.
Assist with creating, implementing, and communicating the vision and goals of the student-athlete development program annually.
Serve as a liaison with campus entities in the student development area to promote collaboration and student-athlete integration.
Establish and maintain a strong campus presence to ensure close working relationships with university staff, faculty, administration, and alumni so that coordination of efforts may take place where appropriate.
Coordinate the BroncoLife Faculty Program with the Faculty Athletic Representative.
Work with BroncoLife and the academic team to present a first year class/workshop for student-athletes in the fall semester.
Assist with planning all aspects of BroncoLife events.
Assist with coordinating the nominations and application process of awards and scholarships for student-athletes at a department, university, conference and national level.
Serve as an advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Assist coaches in the recruitment process of student-athletes by meeting prospective student-athletes and family members on campus visits.
Two (2) years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.
Two (2) years experience in related field
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to perform in a manner that is reliable, dedicated, productive and exhibits strong self-initiative.
Strong team building and relationship building skills; ability to work collaboratively with others, especially students.
Strong communication, presentation, marketing and organizational skills.
Emotional maturity and ability to work independently and effectively, apply good judgement, use discretion and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Must be comfortable and sensitive to the concerns and needs of diverse student populations.
